Happy 67th Birthday to Mama In Heaven

Happy 67th Birthday In Heaven Mama.
I can't begin to say how grateful it has been to be raised by such a wonderful Mother.

There's not a moment that goes by that your Morals and values you stood for and taught are right here at the forefront of my mind and heart most of all.

There are some very challenging days especially as now that I'm a just turning a year older than you were when you left to go be with Jesus.

Because of you is who I am today. We all are even the children you helped raise which into you gave as much love as you did your own. That I admire and will always.

The Buttercups are blooming, and that was one of your favorite things as you'd have us go dig them up to plant in our yard and all the neighbors yards. As you also had us do with all the blueberries, blackberries, muskedimes. You'd make all sorts of things with all of it all.

You were such a woman, a lady of improvisation and it still and always will amaze me.

Here is a picture of one of the peoples houses you fed every chance you got just so you knew your neighbors had food. To you and what you taught was always treat your neighbor as you would yourself just like the Bible says.

Love you Mama and you'd be amazed at all your Grandchildren and I know you're with Dustin in Heaven so I know he's alright in yours and God's arms.

Lessons From Geese

Fact One

As each goose flaps it's wings it creates an "uplift" for the birds that follow. By following the "V" formation, the whole flock adds 71% greater flying range than if each bird flew alone.

~Lesson~People who share a common direction and sense of community can get where they are going quicker and easier because they are travelling on the trust of one another.

Fact Two

When a goose falls out of formation, it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of flying alone. It quickly moves back into formation to take advantage of the lifting power of the bird immediately in front of it.

~Lesson~If we have as much sense as a goose we stay in formation with those headed where we want to go. We are willing to accept their help and give our help to others.

Fact Three

When the lead goose tires, it rotates back in to the formation and another goose flies to the point position.

~Lesson~It pays to take turns doing the hard tasks and sharing leadership. As with geese, people are interdependent on each other's skills, capabilities and unique arrangements of gifts, talents and resources.

Fact Four

The geese flying in formation honk to encourage those up front to keep up with their speed.

~Lesson~We need to make sure our honking is encouraging. In groups where there is encouragement, production is much greater. Individual empowerment results from quality honking.

Fact Five

When a goose gets sick, wounded or shot down, two geese drop out of formation to follow it down to help and protect it. They stay with it until it dies or is able to fly again. Then, they launch out with another formation or catch up with the flock.

~Lesson~If we have as much sense as geese, we will stand by each other in difficult times as well as when we are strong.

Happy 26th Birthday To My Son Dustin In Heaven

Lucy & Smiley Face Balloon

In Loving Memory
Of My Son...

I Love You

 Happy Birthday
Son

My Son Dustin In Heaven

Today is your 26th birthday and 26 years I've been a Mom.

Life here isn't the same without you. I long for your precious heart and so many wonderful things about you. You always had a way about you that was so loving towards me and anyone you ever met.

It is all that you were that keeps me going today. You were and will always be well respected by me and by so many. You never met anyone that you couldn't find good in and I'm so proud of you.

Today, marked your 26th birthday and your bestfriend (your dog)- Lucy and I set out to make this day good in celebration of the life you had with us and be grateful that God gave that time to us.

Earlier today, I spoke with a dear friend of mine, a lady that helped raise me from birth, she happened to just had her 83rd birthday just the other week. I thought of you the whole time speaking to her because you and I both love wisdom and love people no matter who they are. She lost her Daughter and also celebrates the life they had together. She reminded me that no matter where our children are, we'll always be the most loving Mothers by the grace of God.

I was also thinking today, about when you transferred to Denver with your job and you'd tell me about your friends telling the Restaurants it was your birthday every time you went out to eat so the staff would bring a cake and sing Happy Birthday to you and it wasn't your birthday. I laugh, because hearing you tell that story still makes my heart sing, and I told you live like everyday was your birthday. I'm sure that you had a lot of Happy times in your life and made the very best out of it.

I chose Monte Sano Mountains today to release your balloon because that's one of the places you loved and went to school. While I was there I also thought about how you loved the mountains no matter where you were from birth. From the mountains here in Madison County at Tater knob, Mountain Fork all over. Most of all you loved the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and called that your home here on earth.

Now, My Son, You're on the biggest Mountain of all looking down on us. Rest High On That Mountain.

I love you Son & Happy Birthday in Heaven.

All My Heart To You & Yours & Ours this 9/11

My Son Dustin-New York
with The Gifted Program Field Trip
July 2001

My Son Dustin on bus to Washington DC-Pennsylvania-New York
with The Gifted Program out of Mississippi
July 2001

My Son Dustin working in Colorado 2001

On the 11th day of September in 2001 is a day in our history that none of us will ever forget. I think about my Son's Dustin and Alex and remember Dustin was within a few weeks of being 16 years old. Alex had just turned 3 years old.

Earlier in the year we had planned a field trip for Dustin and his Gifted class to go on. Unlike the other trips he'd been on across the country on a cruise. This was one to learn about our country here in the U.S.A.

I was very excited for him and his Gifted class- as I'd also got to go to some of the same places at 16 years old and experience everything that I'd only seen in pictures and in our Civic books.

It was very hard to let him go and I know it was for my Mama to let me go. I knew Dustin was going with some teachers and other guides. Still, I worried the whole time he was gone, he'd call and check in with me and tell me all about our history and everything he was seeing. It was amazing to him. He loved his country.

Dustin had already been working with the Desoto County Schools in Mississippi- with the computers and had really decided what he wanted for his career. He wanted to work in the computer industry.

After his Gifted Program trip in the summer of 2001, he transferred with his job to Colorado early that August 2001.

On September 11.2001- he called me and said "Mom, Are you alright" and with all the courage he and I both had we cried for everyone and he was reflecting on the trip he just had taken to all the places.

The love my Son Dustin had for our country and all the people is everlasting. The courage people are still showing is indescribable. I like others have pictures of my Sons trip and personal memories that are just that -personal.

May God Bless

Happy 13th Birthday My Son Alex :)

You and Your Brother Dustin in Colorado
 "Peace"
Huntsville, Alabama

My Dear sweet baby Son, Today you're now a teenager and you'd think this would be easy to write to you since your brother Dustin was 13 years old when you were born about to be 14years old on September 29. Your birthdays are almost a month apart. You were born in Southaven, Mississippi on August 26.1998 at 9:24pm (cst). You were born at Desoto Baptist Hospital by Dr. Dang weighing in at 7lbs. and 20 inches long. Down the road from Elvis Presley's house at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee. It was a long day with much anticipation waiting for you to arrive. We were all looking forward to your arrival and your brother naturally took the big brother role in protecting you much like you now- with you being a big brother.

I'll never forget finding out I was carrying you- it was a Christmas surprise and I really did wonder what was in the water in Mississippi because everyone on the block was having a baby at that time :)

Soon, we found out your cousin, Parker would be born a month before you. So, when I tell you stories of you and he sitting on the tables at Country Buffet here in Huntsville in your infant seats it really seems like you were just a baby not long ago. I think it's neat that's where you want to have your Birthday Dinner, no matter what state in the US your in, theres always a Country Buffet. As I said, that's the Southern Guy in you, along with that Southern Gentleman kindness you've got going on.. although you have a mid-western accent you'll always have a little country in you :)

I'm so proud of you and happy for you this year being excited about all your classes and electives. I know you're a youngman now and growing up and even though you'll always be my baby I'm happy to see you reach for your dreams. No matter what most of all- I want you to be happy and know you're loved so much.

Hugs to you my Baby Son
Alexander
Love always,
-Mom

My Sister and her family always surprise me for my birthday. I'm so thankful and grateful for their thoughtfulness towards me. Today January 17.1967 marked my 44th birthday. Many Blessing for years to come...
My Sister and Her Family Gave me this for Christmas 2010..In honor of my two Sons Dustin Cody Parker (RIP-09/29/1985 to 10/30/2006) and Alexander Nielsen.
The Lovely Perfume (by Sarah Jessica  Parker) was what Dustin got me the last year he was with us for my birthday in 2006 when he was 21 years old. I love it! It's so sweet for my baby sister to remember that.. most of all know my heart so well. Thank you my Sister..

There are no words to describe what a dear friend and God Sister you've been to me. All of Us from Riverton have our own special memories of our childhood and we all really are praying you get better soon.

Hope you know that we are a phone call away anytime for you. We all know you're strong but always remember we all want to hold your hand. Just like you've held ours through trying times in our life.

If there was an award I could give you it would be an award of the Compassion you've shown through your loving heart to help so many others. I know you help people naturally and that is so very special. We were all raised that way and you've always found me know matter what state I was living in- In this country when I needed you the most and It has meant the world to me and my Sons.

We have a bond that has lasted 44years as of date and have raised our children together. Named our Sons off As The World Turns Soap that we watched many times together on CBS. Used the same Pediatrician for them, Dr. Martin V. Sherrill, MD and OBGYN for their delivery into the world. Laughed together,Cried together and will always be connected in our hearts. We've watched our Mother's and Father's teach us strength, courage, perseverance, discipline and patience. We have grieved together for our Parents in Heaven. We have confided in each other and know matter how much time passes we always pick up right where we left off and sometimes never say a word together and felt like it was best conversation we ever had while spending time together. That is true friendship.

We've always had the utmost Respect for each other even through trying times in our life. We've supported one another and My Heart and Prayers are with you forever and always. You are my Best Friend in the whole wide world.

And you make the Best Peanut Butterfinger cake and Homemade Biscuits from scratch. You Cook like our Mothers and you loved my Mother like your own as I do your Mother and Grandmothers. Our Fathers were Best friends Our siblings and all of us can look into each others eyes and see our hearts and always know how each other feels without even asking...

We've have made so many memories over the years and we ran around Riverton barefoot as toddlers, teens, young adults, then full grown adults -through our families bond and We're God Mothers for each others children. We got into trouble many times together with our parents as youngsters.

We mended each others Heart so many times. We rode the Church Bus and Sang Hymns in Church as children. We sang many songs along with our record player, eight track tape player, cassettes and now Cd's. It was just a couple of years ago we all went on vacation and all us girls sang "Ben" by Michael Jackson and Donny and Marie Osmond song "I'm a little Bit County and He's A Little Bit Rock N' Roll". in perfect harmony like the good ole days when we didn't have a care in the world. That was priceless and we can all treasure our memories as theres a deep bond within the Riverton area families.

Will always be here for you and yours.
Anytime of Day and You can count on it.

Trust in our Lord and Savior for comfort..

Please Get Well Soon Sister
I Love You Sandra Gail...

Happy 25th Birthday To My Son Dustin in Heaven

I Love You My Son Dustin Cody Parker. Theres not a moment that goes by that you're not on my mind. I miss you more than words can say. We often talked about your 25th Birthday and the dreams you had always amazed me. You touched my heart in so many ways and still bring me happiness through your memory.

We  lost you forty seven months ago a month after we celebrated your 21st Birthday. I've longed for your hugs and simple genuine love. You had a way with making me and others feel good just by your caring heart. Your smile that would light up a room and bring joy.

I'm still as proud of you today as I was all your life. The words you have written to me over the years help me get through the days without you here on earth. I feel so blessed that you took the time to tell me how you felt towards me as your Mother. As you always wrote with Sincerity.

I'll always look up to you and be very proud to be your Mom.

Box Of Old Things by Greg Hipp

Box Of Old Things by Greg Hipp

Original Song Written By: Greg Hipp

After all the years we grew up together and raised our Sons together with our Mom's Help. One day Greg and I were talking back in 2005 about how hard it is to give our Sons Wings. His Son Joshua Hipp In photo was deployed to South Korea and My Son was working very hard in his business while we lived in Denver Colorado. We talked of the saying "It's easy to give them Roots but so Hard to Give Wings".

Greg being the Genius Songwriter and One of the Greatest Musicians I've known and watched him play since we were young kids.

He came up with "Box Of Old Things".

It was an Honor to have it played at My Sons Services.

Dustin and I spent many days riding around Denver listening to Greg's Music Loud and Proud.

My Son Dustin and Greg's Sons Matthew and Joshua Hipp were also very good friends growing up.

In Honor Of My Father On Father's Day 2010

In Loving Memory My Father

My Father's Mother and Father

My Father Gave me this when my Mother passed away when I was 22 years old and my Mom was 44...

My Father Dewitt Haga aka (Wimpy, nicknamed that because he loved hamburgers like the Wimpy on Popeye Cartoon) he was born in Morgan County, Alabama 10-05-1937 to 01-29-2004,

He was Son of Miller Arthur Haga 12-29-1897 to 11-02-1977 and Mary Mauzelle Prichett Haga 01-09-1901 to 1998 of Morgan County third generation of Haga. His Grandparents were Annie Francis Haga Bonds and Robert Bonds on his Father's Side that were born in the second generation of Haga Family.

My Father was one of 10 children in the fourth generation of Haga Family. James Vernon,Virginia Lucille,Clarence Leonard,Luther Miller,Eva Lee,Ovelene,Billie Jean,Hershell, Bobbie Fray Haga.

Early in his teens he decided to move to Huntsville and become a Businessman and was very successful in his dreams.

When he was 20 years old, He married Nannie Mae Loveday from Gurley, Alabama and they had my brother Danny Ray Haga 02-22-1957 to 07-26-1992. Daddy had one Grandson by Danny Ray Haga named Daniel Haga which resides in Huntsville, Alabama.

In 10-10,1962 when he was 25 years old he married my Mother Alice Faye Heaton 02-05-1945 to 07-29-1989. My Brother Robert Royce Haga was born September 15,1964 and resides in Huntsville Alabama. Daddy has two Granddaughter's by Robert Haga, Summer Nicole Haga 01-10-1984 to 01-10-1984, Dakota Faye Haga 03-27-1990 of Texas.

In 1965 Daddy and Mama built a home on A.Smith Rd. Route 5 Box 149, Huntsville, Alabama on a two acres of land. On the road where My Mother's Great Uncle lived and Family had named Allison Smith aka A.Smith Rd.

They were already established Business owners with many Oil Companies and Owned Six Full Service Gas Stations with Wrecker Services and were members of The American Service Station Association working with the Governors and many local Business owners in Huntsville, Alabama. They had many friends and operated a Harley Davidson Hill Climb in Riverton as a Hobby started an organization club call the Huntsville Satellite Club for many Local attorneys ,Business owners and Friends.

Daddy was 28 years old and Mama was 21 years old when they had me on 01-17-1967, Daddy has Two Grandsons by me, Dustin Cody Parker 09-29-1985 to 10-30-2006 and Alexander Nielsen born 08-26-1998.

1972, Daddy married Pearl Harris Haga, they moved to be near us children in the Moores Mill area near A.Smith aka Riverton area. A couple of miles from our homestead he and my Mama built. Danny Ray moved in the Moores Mill area on same road as our Dad..
Pearl and Daddy Divorced with no children 11-29-2003.

He had retired due to his Health after decades of working non-stop.He was a contractor with a nice GMC Truck to move 14 and 16 wide Mobile Homes that came straight from the factory for Bonnell Enterprises out of Athens Alabama all over the east coast. He Took me many times and taught me to drive a big rig bob tailed he called it. He also taught me work ethic by having me washing his truck inside and out on weekends.
Even after he Retired he stayed busy around his farm. He would take Rescue Horses and train them. He was a Huge animal lover. And a Man to Respect. He loved to his core being and always smiled and got along with people of all walks of life as he learned from all the Customer Service that all his Businesses entailed.

He was a true cowboy. He always wore a very nice cowboy hat and Boots while smoking and chewing on cigars. There wasn't much he couldn't do. He was an excellent Welder and very creative, could make something out of nothing. I always admired him for his intelligence and teachings. My Son Dustin reminds me of my Father as he had the same concept and was driven to succeed and working so hard. always on call 24/7.
After the Shell Station closed on Governors Drive, Huntsville, Alabama he decided to start a Mobile Home towing and Escort Service out of Huntsville, Alabama which ended up being his career for many years until he Retired. My Father died in Daytona Beach, Florida on vacation in a very tragic death to suicide a month after his divorce was final of 32 year marriage. It broke our hearts and his grandchildrens/family and friends. As my Dad was a very Holy Man like my Son Dustin and would always quote scripture to me and his. Would not ever let you sit anything on top of our Family Bible or any Bible for that matter. My Dad did reach out according to Police Report to no avail before he made this decision. He had just turned 66 years old 3 months before he died.
This is why it's so important to me that there is Suicide awareness available and if you think you or your family/friends someone is in that state of mind, do everything in your power to help that person. If you feel you cannot or do not have the answers reach out for them. Call Police, Call 1-800-273-8255 National Suicide Hotline. Take or Go to Emergency Room at your Local Hospital.

This is very REAL and is 3rd leading cause of death. We are losing to many Family Members/ Friends/Soldiers/Children/Elderly to this and they range of all ages.
I've known many people in my Hometown and went to school with, others in my family, friends, people of all classes that don't TALK about it due to the Stigma of shame associated with it but believe me.. we need to keep providing awareness. Don't feel ashamed to get HELP. PLEASE REACH OUT.
Let's not remember them for the one wrong decision they made in their life, let's be thankful for the time we had and Respect the people they were. If it's your belief they're not forgiven. I respectfully ask you to leave that between them and GOD.
My Dad Gave this to My Mom May 20.1963 and I'll Continue Handing It Down to Our Upcoming Children and Keep It In The Family.
